Like One Foundation is officially a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, recognized by the IRS.

That sentence took two years of work to earn. Here's why it matters.

What This Means

Every donation to Like One Foundation is now tax-deductible. Full stop. The IRS determination letter is in hand. This isn't "pending" or "in progress"—it's done.

This changes the math for everyone who wants to support the mission. Your contribution to HIV cure research or accessible AI education now reduces your tax burden. Corporate matching programs can now match donations. Grants that require 501(c)(3) status are now on the table.

Why We Exist

Like One Foundation funds two things:

1. HIV Cure Research We direct donations to organizations doing actual cure research—not awareness campaigns, not management programs, but labs working to end HIV permanently. Our current research partners include amfAR and UCSF's HIV Cure Research Fund.

2. Accessible AI Education AI is the most powerful economic equalizer since the internet. But most AI education is built for people who already have advantages—technical backgrounds, expensive hardware, uninterrupted focus time. We build for everyone else. Disabled people. Neurodivergent people. People the system wasn't designed for.

The Giving Model

Like One operates on an automated giving model. A percentage of every dollar of revenue generated by Like One LLC flows directly to the Foundation. As revenue grows, the giving percentage scales—starting at 1% and climbing toward 50%.

This isn't charity bolted onto a business as an afterthought. The business exists to fund the mission. The architecture is the same.

What Comes Next

Tax-exempt status unlocks three things immediately:

  • Grant eligibility. Foundations and government programs that require 501(c)(3) status can now fund our work directly.
  • Corporate matching. If your employer matches charitable donations, your gift to Like One Foundation now qualifies.
  • Donor confidence. The IRS doesn't hand these out casually. This is third-party validation that our mission, governance, and financials meet federal standards.

We're not slowing down. The Academy is expanding. The giving pipeline is automated. And every dollar that flows through this system gets closer to funding the cure.

How to Support the Mission

If this resonates, there are three ways to help:

  1. Donate directly at likeone.ai/support. Every gift is now tax-deductible.
  2. Take a course. Revenue from Like One Academy funds the Foundation automatically.
  3. Share this post. The more people who know, the more resources flow to cure research and accessible education.

This foundation was built by a disabled, queer, trans woman who the system tried to delete. The system failed. The foundation is real. The tax exemption is real. And the mission is just getting started.
